This position supports BRMi corporate operations to implement, maintain and improve the processes required by the CMMI and ISO certifications that the company holds and ensure adoption at the appropriate levels across the company. The corporate program provides oversight, guidance, training, auditing, and process improvement to implement the requirements of the following International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards and guidelines: ISO 9001, ISO 20000, and ISO 27001 and Computer Capability Maturity Integration Standards: Services and Development.

 

This position performs:

  • CMMI quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) functions at the customer project level and on the corporate level. This includes providing technical guidance, auditing, and process improvement services to better implement the relevant CMMI methodologies. Tasks include conducting periodic program and project audits, corporate audits, and working with teams to help them understand how to improve underlying processes to address audit concerns. The incumbent assumes the QA/QC role for the company and takes ownership for updating streamlining and improving CMMI processes, including managing the company’s evolution to higher levels of standardization maturity.
  • ISO standard administrator functions that coordinate all activities required to comprehensively practice the clauses of the implemented standards. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop QA audits and inspections schedules
  • Ensure quality controls, reporting and monitoring are in place
  • Conduct project and corporate audits for compliance with CMMI and ISO requirements
  • Continuously improve the quality management system
  • Develop and improve quality system documents, including procedures, templates, audit checklists, control plans
  • Facilitate the corrective action process using a systematic approach, while helping teams take preventative steps
  • Ensure requirements are met to maintain current certifications and add/increase future certifications (e.g., achieve CMMI Level 3 or additional ISO certifications, as appropriate)
  • Ensure that required process and document control procedures are established, adopted, approved, and followed
  • Conduct reviews and make updates to policies, procedures, and critical document
  • Monitor resolution of corrective actions from audits and nonconformities and report status
  • Receive requests for document changes electronically or verbally and obtains final approvals
  • Maintain metrics on incidents and activity as required by the standards
  • Update documents in the company repository with the requisite document control information
  • Posts all new and revised documents to the company repository
  • Maintain relative training records
  • Schedule and manage training and testing drills
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports as required by the standards and capture meeting minutes
  • General administration duties such as telephone answering, filing, record retrieval etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

 

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ISO and CMMI standards and processes
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills, written communication skills, analytical and effective consulting skills
  • 3+ years’ experience working in quality control or quality assurance
  • 3+ years’ experience as an auditor
  • Working knowledge of relevant nationally recognized auditing standards and procedures
  • Experience setting up and administering CMMI compliant processes and projects
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a quality management system (QMS)
  • Understanding of CMMI, ISO 9001, 20000, and 27001 Management Systems
  • Experience in design, implementation and assessment of internal program performance controls
  • Must possess an in depth understanding of Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) are required
  • Basic knowledge of operating standard office equipment (fax machine, copier, etc.) and MS SharePoint
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
  • Intermediate data entry skills, reporting skills, administrative writing skills
  • Must have attention to detail, follow-up skills, and ability to work well with others


Desirable Qualifications:

  • Auditor Certification for ISO 9001, 20000, 27001 or CMMI for services or development
  • Completion of approved training courses in auditing and methodologies

Education:
Bachelors degree required. 

 

Clearance Requirement: US Citizen.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
