Overview

Coordinates, monitors, administers, and services technical environments. Completes implementations, carries out integration activities, and provides operational support for technical environments.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
  • Customer Service Focus
    Project Management Experience
    Support Low voltage cabling
    Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A cable plants
    Multi pair riser and tie cabling
    Fiber cable plants
    Singlemode and Multimode installation and termination to include proper connector fitment
    Working with Fluke test equipment
    OTDR Testing
    Reviewing and updating drawing documents to include project specifications
    Researching and obtaining quotes from vendors for needed cabling services
    Communicating effectively and professionally with upper management and vendors
    Upholding and instilling this same thought process and philosophy in the personnel under your direction
    Communicating with management and team members to provide updates on key issues
    Must be able to travel
    Perform other duties as assigned 

 

Unusual Working Conditions: The work is physical and requires a certain degree of agility to bend, reach, stoop, climb and work in uncomfortable positions to include climbing via the use of 8 to 10 foot ladders. Work requires lifting and carrying moderately heavy materials and equipment.

Qualifications

  • BICSI RCDD a plus
  • Minimum 10 years’ combined experience in the low voltage cabling industry and/or including a Project Management role
  • Manufacturers certification a plus
    • Minimum 3 years experience in the low voltage cabling industry in a Project Management role
    • Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedure
    • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance
    • Effective performance management skills
    • Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
    • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
    • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
    • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
    • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player

    • Preferences will be given to candidates with BICSI level and manufacturer certifications (BICSI RCDD a plus)
    • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and commitment to excellence.
