BRMi seeks a talented Digital Communications Strategist to manage email campaign marketing including scheduling, process improvements, and advisement services to include design and testing of email campaigns as well as the execution.


  • Ensure the timely distribution of promotional email content.
  • The jobs Focus will be on:
    • Monthly prioritized schedule
    • Email process improvements
    • Recommendations on design and testing ideas
    • Email campaign execution
  • To develop and execute comprehensive digital media strategies to support corporate wide initiatives and maximize Navy Federal engagement with members, increase product penetration among members and expand membership among the military, DoD and veteran community.
  • To assist with leading the planning, conceptualization, development, and distribution of content for digital marketing channels to support section, department and company initiatives.
  • To provide expertise to optimize digital channel usage.
  • To champion advantages of using digital channels and latest technologies to maximize Navy Federal engagement with members and potential members while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and Navy Federal standards.
  • Works independently with direct guidance and direction from higher level staff and management on projects of moderate to complex scope.
  • Provides assistance/training to lower level team members.
  • Collaborate with product owners and Corporate Marketing Representatives to help achieve strategic objectives through the identification of new opportunities that drive greater membership benefit awareness among prospects and product awareness and adoption among current members – Assist in Leading
  • Collaborate with Analytics team to understand segments’ needs and preferences and proactively suggest new campaigns that will drive product awareness and adoption by current members - Advanced Analysis
  • Partner with Manager to apprise marketing senior management of the efficient/effective use of the marketing channels and make recommendations for future campaigns and process improvements – Assist in Leading
  • Lead the definition of digital marketing strategies using member insights, marketing channel performance data, search engine optimization (SEO) performance data and user experience (UX) input (for web) to guide executable programs - Assist in Leading
  • Ensure consistent utilization of content across web, email, social media and other digital media channels, where appropriate – ensuring right content for right audience at the right time - Assist in Leading
  • Assist in leading moderately scoped projects, provide guidance, act as skills resource and trainer to less experienced staff - Assist in Leading
  • Proactively keep abreast of assigned marketing and media plans and assist Corporate Marketing Representatives in ensuring marketing efforts are leveraging content and messaging from digital media campaigns - Assist in Leading
  • Partner with Project Management team to ensure full life-cycle project management support –Considerable scope
    • Follow project plan/scope/schedule
    • Help manage timelines/deadlines/quality
    • Ensure project ideas, details and status are communicated
    • Risk, issue and change management
    • Ensure successful project implementation
  • Advise Corporate Marketing Representative and Creative Services team on industry trends, standards, innovations, regulatory and security requirements - Assist in Leading
  • Perform quality control measures on campaigns to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and adherence to corporate marketing standards - Moderately Complex/Varied
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology developments and provide technology solution ideas that enhance web, email, and social media efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop, analyze, make recommendations, and establish key metrics to ensure digital marketing channel support of product owners’ goals and corporate strategic objectives – Moderate analysis
  • Collaborate with Marketing staff, other business units, and ad agencies to compile/integrate and summarize data and key performance indicators used to create digital campaign strategies to improve membership benefit awareness among prospects and product awareness and adoption by current members - Assist in Leading
  • Liaise with Marketing, Creative Services, UX Design and Content teams to optimize customer experience and ensure brand consistency - Assist in Leading
  • Ensure content distribution levels are maintained in accordance with CAN-SPAM/anti-spam regulations –Moderate impact
  • Perform other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing and/or advertising agency organization to include campaign management and ancillary marketing services
  • 2+ years of experience in a marketing account executive role in a fast paced, highly structured creative environment similar to an advertising agency
  • Experience with SEO/SEM and Marketing Automation software
  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools like Google and Adobe Analytics
  • Experience with online marketing tools and practices
  • Working knowledge of marketing principles such as branding, promotions, production, communications, direct marketing, product life cycles and business strategies
  • Working knowledge of planning, implementing and analyzing online marketing initiatives across multiple online channels
  • Advanced skill making effective presentations to groups of various sizes
  • Advanced skill to influence, negotiate and persuade to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes
  • Advanced strategic skills planning/project management for marketing, advertising and corporate communications
  • Advanced skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams; managing timelines/deadlines/resources; ensuring successful project implementation
  • Advanced skill interacting with staff, management, vendors and members diplomatically and tactfully
  • Experience with PC and web/internet based technologies e.g. HTML, trends/issues, management, editing/authoring tools and development
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results or relationships
  • Advanced organizational, planning and time management skills


  • Significant experience leading, guiding and mentoring others
  • Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of Navy Federal and external digital channel to promote products and services
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to Navy Federal policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act
