    BRMi, Inc seeks to hire a Business Development Executive to lead its BD function and directly drive growth in our Federal Civilian portfolio. Experience in the following accounts and vehicles is preferred:

    • Customers
      • Department of Health and Human Services
      • Department of Homeland Security
      • Department of Agriculture (USDA)
      • Department of Justice
    • Vehicles
      • GSA Alliant SB, Stars 8a, IT70 and PSS
      • Agency specific BPAs and Strategic Vehicles
      • Other Transaction Authority (OTAs)

    The successful candidate will have a verifiable record of success in identifying, qualifying, and closing competitive opportunities in the federal digital services market. BRMi seeks a proven closer who is willing and able to “roll up their sleeves” in order to deliver expected results.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage business development activities to support growth throughout Federal Civilian portfolio’s specifically assigned customers including HHS, DHS, USDA, and DoJ; activities will include both traditional, competitive and smaller, strategic wedge deals.
    • Responsible for identifying and qualifying new business development opportunities and assisting in the capture management and proposal development processes - in some cases may serve as the Capture Manager on select pursuits.
    • Responsible for maintaining the pipeline for new business and recapture efforts of existing contracts, ensuring accuracy of the data for all opportunities assigned under this position and keeping this information current and accurate in BRMi’s CRM system.
    • New business pursuits should be focused on stated objectives of the strategic plan for the business being supported. Markets will include, but are not limited to Agile Software Engineering, System Modernization and O&M, IT Strategy and Architecture, Process Automation, Cloud and Mobile Solutions, Digital Services, IT Infrastructure Engineering and Support, Program Management Support and Staff Augmentation Services.
    • Participate in the development of annual and long range strategic business plans.
    • Support corporate leadership in preparing for new business development opportunities, including: Upcoming business development targets; Market outreach events; Contract Industry Day events; Other important outreach events.
    • Meet and maintain close relationships with new and current customers.
    • Identify and contact prospective customers via networking, customer referrals, POC listings from advance RFP postings, and professional organization events.
    • Determine teaming requirements for prime efforts; identify and qualify industry partners and identify teaming opportunities for subcontracting opportunities.
    • Provide proposal development support, as needed, to meet growth objectives.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned and assist in special projects as needed

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience performing business development or capture management activities as individual contributor for IT services / solutions (preferably within the Federal Civilian market)
    • Ability to close business as demonstrated by a verifiable record of winning contracts totaling at least $30M in contract value in each of the past three years
    • Understanding of the strategic priorities, budget, programs and initiatives of the Federal Civilian market
    • Strong relationships with influential customers, stakeholders, and influencers within 1 or more of the aforementioned accounts, with demonstrated ability to develop and nurture new customer relationships
    • Strong relationships with industry professionals within the large business and small business contractor community,
    • In-depth knowledge of competitors and existing contracts within the Federal Civilian market
    • Direct experience in building a 12-24 month pipeline of qualified opportunities and winning competitive contracts
    • Direct experience in building and managing a BD team is preferred
    • Experience and knowledge of relevant IT services/solutions to include:  Agile Software Engineering, System Modernization and O&M, IT Strategy and Architecture, Process Automation, Cloud and Mobile Solutions, Digital Services, IT Infrastructure Engineering and Support, Program Management Support and Staff Augmentation Services.
    • Highly proficient in structured Business Development, Capture, and Proposal processes
    • In-depth knowledge of Federal acquisition life-cycle and associated regulations
    • Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Ability to make sound business decisions and use appropriate judgment
    • Self-initiator with ability to work independently
    • Strong relationship building and verbal/written communication skills
    • US Citizenship Required with ability to obtain Secret level clearance

    Education 

    Bachelor's Degree in Business or Information Technology or equivalent experience

     

    Location

    Chevy Chase, MD with frequent travels to Federal Customers sites throughout the DC area
