  • Overview

    BRMi is looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our team for a large, business analysis and management support services contract within a CIO organization. You will work as part of a team of business analysts and provide specialized data gathering, analysis, and recommendations to support IT strategy, governance, stakeholder engagement, and systems engineering life cycle activities.


    • Lead the analysis of a moderately complex project to evaluate and recommend Data Protection tool (s).
    • Formulate and define business process, systems scope and objectives for the project through research and fact-finding activities combined with a thorough understanding of business process analysis and requirements management practices and principles.
    • Conduct the elicitation and management of business and systems level requirements.
    • Applies portfolio management concepts including business-IT alignment, prioritization, business cases and market surveys, and project costing techniques for up to moderately complex projects.
    • Develop cost estimates for moderately complex projects/programs.
    • Validate solution(s) delivered meet business needs for the project.
    • Possesses analytical skills through educational background and work experience and has the ability to apply those skills to client engagements.
    • Technical expertise in one or more business analysis related disciplines.
    • Exhibits strong communication skills; facilitation, interview, formal document writing and presentation skills.


    • Technical background, ideally with familiarity in the data security arena, but not required – ability to quickly learn this area
    • 5-years of experience in analysis, of which 2 years within information technology
    • Demonstrated experience in gathering information from stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and/or surveys
    • Demonstrated experience in performing tools analysis by creating requirements criteria, scoring mechanisms, and evaluation criteria
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to learn quickly
    • Show initiative and creativity in solving problems
    • US Citizenship
