    BRMi seeks a Blue Coat Engineer to install, configure, and optimize Blue Coat proxy and related hardware including Blue Coat management and reporting tools. The candidate will respond to Blue Coat issues and requests while assisting in any upgrades, improvements, or enhancements. Additionally, the candidate selected will be responsible for all security related monitoring, processes, and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    1. Installation and Configuration:
          • Deploy and configure Symantec Blue Coat Proxy and related hardware.
          • Configure/optimize current Symantec Blue Coat Proxy and related hardware.
          • Configure/optimize current Symantec Blue Coat Management and Reporting Tools.
    2. Monitor ticket queue and respond to any issues or requests.
    3. Assist with the planning and implementation of upgrades, improvements, or enhancements to the current Symantec Blue Coat deployment.
    4. Attend meetings where appropriate covering all current and future tasks.
    5. Provide documentation on existing configuration and future changes or enhancements.
    6. Troubleshoot performance or security issues that arise during operation, installation, configuration, testing, and upgrading of existing or new hardware.
    7. Work with other groups within Navy Federal or other vendors to resolve connectivity and integration issues.
    8. Security:
          • Sufficient security standards shall be employed by Contractor to prevent accidental disclosure, unauthorized access to data and data files, unauthorized software modification, or divulgence of confidential processing procedures.
          • The Contractor shall at no time give out information associated with contract reports, policy, standard operating procedures, or software programs customized for the client to any outside entity.
          • The contractor shall ensure that client information is adequately secured and that access to that information is restricted to authorized users.
          • At the end of the contract the Contractor shall turn over all paper documents and soft copies /automated files to the appropriate personnel on client site prior to the last of day of the contract.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Have working knowledge of TCP/IP Networking
      • IP version 4 and 6
      • Subnetting
      • Understanding of Layer 3 Routing
      • Understanding of Layer 2 Ethernet
    • Experience reading and analyzing Packet Captures
      • Wireshark/TCP Dump
    • Experience with the ICAP Protocol
    • In depth understanding of PKI and Cryptography
    • 2+ Years’ experience working directly with Symantec Blue Coat proxies
    • 3+ Years’ experience working with medium to large network structures

    Desired

    • CCNP/JCNP level certifications
    • Experience with Powershell/Bash scripting
    • Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
    • Experience using Splunk
