  • Overview

    BRMi is seeking a ServiceNow Administrator to perform day to day administration of the ServiceNow software for one of our large financial services clients in the Northern Virginia area.


    • Maintain business services and configuration item relationships in ServiceNow
    • Maintain the integrity of the ServiceNow platform across production and non-production instances
    • Support ServiceNow discovery tool for CMDB
    • Perform installation and testing of updates and new releases
    • Work with operations users to identify and refine requirements and workflows
    • Provide ServiceNow configuration and customization assistance including, but not limited to: form tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, LDAP integration, custom scripting and third party software integrations
    • Develop UI forms, fields, notifications, workflows and JavaScript server/client code
    • Build reports, gauges, and home pages
    • Create new service catalog requests and items with variables
    • Create, monitor, modify, and publish service catalog workflows with approvals
    • Assist in troubleshooting patch / release management issues
    • Maintain LDAP integration and user configurations
    • Maintain Single Sign-On integration
    • Maintain Service Level Agreement (SLA) and monitor SLA workflows
    • Create and use update sets to move configurations between systems
    • Search, populate, and customize the knowledge base
    • Create and maintain Access Control Lists (ACL)


    Preferred Skills:

    • 2+ years’ experience in ServiceNow as a System Administrator or similar responsibility
    • Certified ServiceNow Administrator
    • Experience in implementing ServiceNow processes and functions
    • Knowledge of LDAP/Active Directory a plus
    • Relevant IT Architecture experience
    • Experience in Java, JavaScript, Web Services, AJAX, XML
    • Understanding and experience with agile software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
    • Web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3)
    • Working knowledge of relational databases
    • Experience implementing IT Service Management tools
    • Experience with IT Service Management, Service Desk, and Change Management processes
    • Basic understanding of ITIL v3 methodologies

    Great to Have:

    • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification
    • Integration experience with directories, such as Active Directory using methods such as LDAPs
    • Single Sign-on using SAML 2.0
    • Web Services integration experience
    • ITIL v3 Certification
