    This role is to manage a cross government program to support accurate weather forecasting, storm outlooks, and global weather measurements.


    This project management role is to support this program through multiple program support functions, with a primary focus on SharePoint development and operations. The Project Manager will manage a team of 8 FTEs to develop an information management program, institute records management policies and system, serve as the internet web master, and provide technical support for the program's SharePoint farm.


    The successful candidate will be an effective project manager with proven experience supporting federal programs, hands-on experience with SharePoint development and administration, and excellent customer service attitude:

    • 10-years minimum overall experience, at least 3 years managing a team and contract
    • 3+ years proven experience in managing a SharePoint farm, including support and maintenance for the system infrastructure
    • 3+ years proven experience supporting application development of SharePoint sites
    • Understanding and application of ITIL standards to support the infrastructure environment
    • Experience managing and supporting service desk tickets, managing service levels and communicating status
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple work strings, multi-task and work well under tight deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience in building successful project teams and partnerships with business and technical groups
    • Self-starter with ability to perform, manage and lead work independently

    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience working with NOAA, NASA, or other science related agency
    • Understanding of Records Management, its application, and implementation of an electronic records management system
    • Knowledge of Information Management design and implementation techniques
    • Web content management graphics and design experience
    • Experience in developing SharePoint applications using an agile development software development methodology
