  • Overview

    This position will support the continuing Splunk development, roll-out and configuration efforts by providing development, deployment and testing for enhancements and onboarding of data into the Splunk platform.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze and design enhancements to promote increased user adoption of Splunk for monitoring purposes.
    • Analyze Operational team requirements and design data models and integrations for data.
    • Design and implement Splunk apps, reports, alerts, and dashboards
    • Documentation of Splunk knowledge objects (Apps, Dashboards, Saved Searches, Scheduled Searches, Alerts)
    • Develop and Deploy complex Splunk queries.
    • Deploy integrations for internal stakeholders
    • Perform Systems Analysis: Engage with internal teams to align platform capabilities with business requirements
    • Perform Unit Test, System Test and User Acceptance Tests (UAT) for Splunk Dashboards and Apps developed.

    Qualifications

    • 5 - 8 years of current experience in big data analytics, data warehousing and/or business intelligence domains
    • Ability to perform complete Splunk environment installs, filter data, and manage indexes
    • Experience creating, and maintaining Splunk applications
    • Experience writing documentation, procedures and best practices in technical environments
    • Experience working with industry standard authentication and permissions models
    • Experience working with REST APIs, and web development
