Overview

BRMi provides IT support to the Department of Commerce (DOC), Economic Development Administration (EDA). EDA plays a critical role in fostering regional economic development efforts in communities across the nation. Through strategic investments that foster job creation and attract private investment, EDA supports development in economically distressed areas of the United States, including those devasted by natural disasters.

 

BRMi is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support operations & maintenance (O&M) activities and enhancements to EDA’s Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and MicroStrategy applications. The ideal candidate will be experienced in requirements gathering, user support, data analysis, and supporting feature enhancements to a data-driven Salesforce CRM system.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the bridge between general Salesforce CRM functionality and EDA specific processes and implementation to create an end-to-end business-driven experience for the EDA users.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the EDA Salesforce CRM defect and enhancement management processes/data between the Help Desk technical team and EDA application owners/users.
  • Facilitate requirements clarification, requirement specifications documentation, and prioritization.
  • Manage the Salesforce product backlog using an agile management tool (such as Jira).
  • Translate requirements to Salesforce CRM developers and support testing activities including usability testing for the various Salesforce CRM applications at EDA including but not limited to DSF, EA, EDI, RLF, TAAF, etc.
  • Provide various user support activities including training, demos, walkthroughs and Q&A incorporating FAQs, best practices, lessons learned, user stories, use cases (e.g., EDA specific roles and responsibilities, Who, What, When, Where, How, Why, How Much, Under What Circumstances, etc.).
  • Support ad-hoc Salesforce CRM data analysis, cleanup and validation activities.
  • Identify, define and drive O&M process improvement initiatives starting with DSF, EDI and EA applications and joining upcoming applications RLF, TAAF and others entering the queue. Coordinate and facilitate recording of application demos and trainings using video recording software (i.e. Camtasia).
  • Contributes to updating Salesforce CRM artifacts with EDA specific content and follows knowledge management best practices to manage artifacts using EDA’s designated SharePoint site.
  • Maintains all project artifacts with consistent content updates regardless of lifecycle (e.g., development, deployment, O&M).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 1st or start date, which ever is latest.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience IT software implementations and operations (including following Agile methodologies), requirements/product backlog management, data analysis, and O&M process improvement.
  • At least 2-years of experience providing O&M functional support for Salesforce CRM applications.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Proven ability leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to quickly ramp up on business needs and technologies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
