BRMi technology is seeking a Cloud Data Requirements Analyst to document data requirements, communicate with customers and stakeholders, analyze data in source systems and its suitability for usage, create data mappings with derivation rules as integration specifications, create data models, perform root causes analysis, develop queries and notebooks, develop dashboards and reports, load and manage metadata.

• Solve business problems by defining robust data solutions via interviewing stakeholders, identifying and evaluating alternatives, and presenting findings
• Gathers specific field and metric level requirements. Able to relate specific data field needs to broader business objectives.
• Document source data requirements and create mappings between business terms, source system tables/columns, and target database schemas, including derivation rules and transformations as ETL specifications
• Conduct analysis of data contained in source systems and its suitability for usage through data profiling, and data quality assessment
• Perform root cause and impact analyses in support of business data stewards, Data Engineers, SQA and user acceptance testers
• Create advanced SQL queries; develop Databricks notebooks using Python
• Collaborate well with a range of roles from business customers to IT partners, service providers, and vendors
• Maintain a backlog of business data needs and analytical objectives. Work with program leadership to prioritize in an iterative and agile framework.
• Support and enable an agile way of working across technical and functional teams
• Other duties as assigned

• Experience conducting workshops and interviews to gather data requirements and opportunities.
• Experience synthesizing user needs from interviews, business artifacts, and existing systems into data requirements.
• Experience with fact/dimension matrices, business questions, and other methods for defining data requirements.
• Experience translating user needs into data requirements, estimating work effort and duration
• Experience in data profiling, data mapping with derivation rules, and data quality assessments
• Ability to interpret and update complex technical documentation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and impact assessments 
• Advanced SQL query programming experience
• Experience in Python programming
• Experience using Jupyter and/or Databricks Notebooks
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, statistics, marketing, management, finance, related fields, or equivalent experience 
• Prior experience in Financial Services

Desired

• Experience in data modeling
• Working knowledge of relational, NoSQL and columnar databases
• Experience creating reports and dashboards
