BRMi Technology is seeking a Data Platforms Performance Engineering Consultant to develop strategies for end-to-end performance testing and tuning for data acquisition, data integration, master data management, and operational data hubs. Responsible for defining performance engineering goals, designing, and executing performance tests.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define non-functional requirements and determine performance engineering goals
• Establish a performance test strategy for data ingestion – batch and near real time, data hubs, analytical warehouse, master data management and data sharing.
• Create performance technical design, test plan and identify key metrics
• Define and support performance test environments based on Azure platform.
• Define performance test data requirements
• Execute performance tests, diagnose, and capture key metrics
• Identify performance deficiencies and coordinate with development teams to resolve them
• Monitor performance metrics and continuously refine performance engineering test cases
• Recognize potential issues and risks during the project implementation and suggest mitigation strategies
• Expert and key point of contact between testers, development, and requirement teams
• Work directly with key leaders to understand data requirements; propose and develop test plan and test cases that enable effective performance testing across the data lake, data hub and analytical data warehouse
• Lead the preparation of high-quality project deliverables that are valued by the business and present them in such a manner that they are easily understood by project stakeholders
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Experience in test planning, test strategy, test execution and test status reporting
• Demonstrated experience in load test, stress test, stability test (DR and fallback) and test automation
• Demonstrated experience in change data capture technologies like, Oracle, DB2, etc.
• Expertise Azure DevOP, Azure cloud-based testing and tools like Apache JMeter or LoadRunner
• Working experience in agile software development projects as a performance tester
• Working experience in spark, python and Databricks and proficiency in SQL
• Experience in collaborating with cloud engineering team to fine tune capacity planning and resource utilization based on performance testing is a plus
• Experience in performance testing for Databricks, CosmosDB, Synapse, APIs and knowledge of Azure event hub/ Kafka is a plus
• Financial Industries and large banks
