The Systems Engineer supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of Linux server and virtualization environments within the enterprise data center. This role focuses on ensuring the stability, security, and performance of Linux-based infrastructure, primarily within Oracle Enterprise Linux (Red Hat Kernel) and VMware/Dell VxRail platforms. The position requires strong technical depth in Linux systems to maintain reliable, efficient, and secure operations.

Associate’s degree (AA or AS) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required; an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered.
4–7 years of Linux systems engineering or administration experience in enterprise environments.
Proficiency in Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL), Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and related management tools.
Experience with VMware vSphere, Dell VxRail, and associated monitoring and backup tools.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and authentication integrations (Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos).
Experience with patch management, performance tuning, and incident response.
Relevant certifications (RHCSA/RHCE, VMware, Dell) preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
