Overview

Data Management Services, Inc. (DMS) is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support and lead a software development project.


The role will be responsible for collecting system requirements, translating requirements into Agile User Stories, and working with a small development team to assign work. Candidate will be able to plan, lead, organize, and motivate an agile project team to deliver projects that provide exceptional business value to our customers and end users. Very strong customer management skills are a must. Our projects currently utilize some of the latest web development technologies in UX/UI, site Design, and ASP.NET (C#).

Salary: 105k-130k

Responsibilities

  • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
  • Able to translate business needs into clear artifacts and write user stories.
  • Strong Background in supporting enterprise level web and software development projects.
  • Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodology, managing backlogs, and using Agile management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to fulfill multiple roles to include Business Analyst, Scrum Master and Software Tester.
  • Experience managing systems with business logic and business process management.
  • Perform project planning and scoping activities to achieve client goals within the expected timelines
  • Take ownership of the client relationship and ensure scope is defined and documented, acceptance criteria are defined, and expectations are fully managed
  • Manage a project team utilizing Scrum framework, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Daily Scrums and Retrospectives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal standards, policies, and documentation requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Prior NIH Experience Highly Desired. 
  • 5+ years of overall experience in IT including 3+ years as a scrum master, project manager, or senior business analyst.

  • 3+ years of related software development project experience

  • Experience managing a team and working with external clients

  • Solid oral and written communication skills

  • Certifications from one of the three major Scrum Master certification providers (Scrum.org, Scrum Alliance, or Project Management Institute)

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Public Trust security clearance eligibility

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
