Overview

BRMi is seeking a Sr. Technical Risk Analyst (Vendor Relationship Manager) to support a large financial enterprise in Vienna VA.

 

The Security Vendor Management (SVM) team provides support to business units within the Security organization by managing, negotiating, and overseeing the purchase of contracted products and / or services. The team conducts general relationship management for Security business unit contract owners with contract needs, vendor selections, vendor performance and escalations, requisitions, purchase orders, and invoice review. SVM acts as a liaison between Security and Procurement & Vendor Management (PVM) and contributes to internal due diligence and reporting.

 

HYBRID in Vienna VA 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop, and maintain effective relationships with key business stakeholders, vendors, internal teams, and senior management
  • Develop and implement approach strategies for contracts with vendors to ensure Security receives affordable minimal risk services
  • Ensures all purchases meet the Security established approval processes
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices regarding Security vendor oversight
  • Maintain SharePoint requirements, respond to intake requests within response SLA expectations, and maintain updated work in progress
  • Vendor Management Activities can include but are not limited to:
    • Assist with market research and identification of potential vendors
    • Engage PVM for NDAs for initial consultations
    • Organize and facilitate vendor product demos
    • Partner with PVM to request quotes for services, using competitive practices to ensure value for money
    • Develop and maintain rapport with Vendor POCs
    • Ensure contract renewals are timely, and new contracts are executed efficiently
    • Ensure adherence to all Navy Federal standards and requirements
    • Monitor and manage vendor performance by providing ongoing feedback to vendors
    • Manage vendor Service Level Agreement commitments, as well as all contractual obligations
    • Execute remediation management for vendor performance deficiencies
    • Facilitate vendor calls and onsite meetings as needed
    • Develop and maintain dashboard, metrics, and vendor scorecards to aid in vendor management reviews
    • Initiate corrective actions when necessary to replace vendor and / or vendor resources due to under-performance
    • Act as liaison between PVM and Security business customers
    • Submit PVM intakes on behalf of Security teams as requested
    • Help business unit teams prepare for all required risk review due diligence exercises
    • Attend weekly status meetings with PVM representatives
    • Partner with PVM on contract negotiations, NDA requests, and sourcing processes

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
 Experience in supply chain, procurement, and vendor management processes, procedures, and industry best practices
 Expert knowledge of contract terminology
 Experience in establishing and enforcing vendor contracts and service level agreements
 Considerable experience in developing, implementing, and managing a formalized process of selecting and monitoring vendor performance
 Extensive skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams
 Experience managing multiple moderate to high complex contracts
 Considerable experience of contract monitoring, and issue resolution
 Expert organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy
 Advanced skill in resolving conflicting requests and meeting changing requirements
 Advanced skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely
 Advanced in the use of PC’s and related business software packages
 Advanced verbal and written communication skills
