Overview

BRMi is seeking a Technical Analyst to support the organization's ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) initiatives by maintaining accurate configuration data, enforcing governance standards, and improving overall data quality. This role is responsible for managing Configuration Item (CI) relationships, supporting data integrations, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders, and ensuring the CMDB accurately reflects the organization's IT environment in accordance with ServiceNow and CSDM best practices.

Salary: 100k-122k

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB to ensure accurate, complete, and reliable Configuration Item (CI) data.
  • Manage Configuration Item lifecycles, including creation, updates, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Establish and maintain relationships between Business Applications, Service Instances, Technology Management Services, Technology Offerings, Business Services, Business Capabilities, and other Configuration Items.
  • Ensure CMDB data is structured and maintained in accordance with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
  • Support data ingestion, integration, and synchronization efforts to maintain CMDB accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain CMDB health dashboards, metrics, and reporting to monitor data quality.
  • Identify and remediate stale, duplicate, orphaned, and incomplete Configuration Item records.
  • Collaborate with business application owners, technical teams, and stakeholders to validate and improve CMDB data.
  • Support Change Management processes to ensure Configuration Item updates are accurately reflected in the CMDB.
  • Enforce CMDB governance policies, standards, and data quality controls.
  • Partner with governance, risk, compliance, and audit teams to support Configuration Item validation and audit activities.
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance CMDB governance, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience administering or supporting the ServiceNow platform.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB architecture, Configuration Item (CI) tables, and CI relationships.
  • Deep understanding of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), including Business Applications, Service Instances, Technology Management Services, Technology Offerings, Business Services, and Business Capabilities.
  • Experience managing CMDB data governance, data quality, and Configuration Item lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with ServiceNow data ingestion, integrations, and synchronization.
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles, particularly Configuration Management and Change Management.
  • Experience creating CMDB health dashboards, metrics, and reporting.
  • Ability to identify and resolve data quality issues, including stale, orphaned, duplicate, and incomplete records.
  • Experience collaborating with Configuration Item owners, business stakeholders, and auditors to support governance and compliance initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Application Portfolio Management (APM), or IntegrationHub is preferred.
