Overview

The Recruiter I supports full-cycle recruitment efforts for entry-level and/or high-volume positions and talent pipelines. This role engages and screens candidates, supports hiring leaders throughout the recruitment process, and provides guidance on recruiting-related policies and processes.

 

The Recruiter I works within established guidelines and frameworks under direct supervision and partners with senior team members and team leaders to resolve routine recruiting matters and support broader Talent Acquisition initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full-cycle recruiting using a variety of recruitment methods, with a focus on entry-level and/or high-volume positions.
  • Develop and execute basic recruitment strategies to support business leaders in meeting their hiring needs.
  • Maintain consistent communication with team leaders and senior peers regarding recruiting activity and workflow.
  • Support Talent Acquisition initiatives, including process improvement efforts and special projects, as needed.
  • Partner with senior peers and team leaders to remain current on changes to employment laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure recruiting activities comply with applicable federal, state, and industry laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Facilitate a consistent and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, seeking support or guidance from senior peers and team leaders as needed.
  • Participate in recruiting events, talent communities, and other candidate-generation activities as applicable.
  • Develop and apply foundational knowledge of business processes, programs, policies, and hiring needs.
  • Seek guidance from senior peers or team leaders to resolve issues, determine when escalation is appropriate, and obtain policy or process direction.
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates regarding their application status throughout the hiring process.
  • Present competitive total compensation packages and collaborate with Compensation and Benefits partners when required.
  • Partner with hiring leaders and HR stakeholders to identify gaps in hiring processes and support the implementation of recruitment solutions.
  • Maintain consistent communication and engagement with assigned talent pipelines, as applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, or a related field, including knowledge of applicable employment laws.
  • Knowledge of effective candidate screening and interviewing techniques.
  • Basic proficiency with recruitment software, systems, and related technology.
  • Developing knowledge of candidate sourcing tools, techniques, and technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations governing recruiting and talent acquisition practices, including Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Affirmative Action requirements, and applicable state regulations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and consistently demonstrate integrity.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities while meeting established goals and deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively in challenging situations.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy, and tact.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment when making decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
